From March 2023 until April 2026, EURAXESS BHO’s partnered in the ERA Talent-project. Via this project, we received funding to expand the EURAXESS services. As EURAXESS Netherlands, we have already communicated about the ERA Talent-project during the three-year period. However, there have been many results, also created by our colleagues, that we would now like to share.
Community of Practice (CoP) on Supporting mobility and procedures
EURAXESS Netherlands was part of the CoP Supporting mobility and procedures and there are a few results from this CoP that are worth sharing:
- A EURAXESS perspective on immigration and mobility of researchers in Europe: an extensive report on immigration and mobility of researchers, combining survey responses from all over Europe.
- Recording of a webinar series on Mobility obstacles and best practices: learn from the solutions and best practices from several countries.
REBECA digital toolkit
REBECA, short for researchers beyond academia, helps researchers explore careers outside of academia. Various tools have been developed within REBECA:
- REBECA R2B matchmaking event toolkit: offers guidance in the different types of events and the steps necessary to organise them.
- REBECA Intersectoral Mentoring toolkit: a practical, step-by-step guide to implement a mentoring programme for your early career researchers.
- Career programme guide: a practical guide that offers institutions a complete roadmap to support international early career researchers exploring professional pathways beyond the academic sector.
Startup Hub digital toolkit
Are you looking for ways to support researchers in their journey to entrepreneurship careers. It offers:
- A startup entrepreneurship training guide: Learn which skills researchers need to start an run a startup and discover the learning resources and tools available to facilitate your researchers who are considering this career step.
- Innovation support: Learn how to build an effective internal infrastructure (or improve an existing one) for assisting sci entrepreneurs in your organisation.
Science for refugees digital toolkit
This online toolkit was created under the EURAXESS Initiative Science4Refugees. It aims to empower refugee researchers, aid their integration into the European research community and foster collaboration and support networks. There are a lot of tools available for refugee researchers, but also for institutions that work with refugee researchers. As an institution, please look at:
- The guide on labour market integration: This guide offers a lot of useful information to those who work with refugee researchers. For example: counselling techniques, basic legal information, the types of information you should provide as an institution but also handy links to services available in your country.
