UAF is starting a Dutch section of Scholars at Risk

Dutch Flag (striped Red, white, blue) and on the white stripe it says 'Scholars at Risk'

The UAF (University Assistance Fund) is starting a Dutch section of Scholars at Risk. With this Dutch section, the Netherlands is becoming part of a network existing of 600 institutions, which is active in more than 40 countries. A network that makes sure that researchers can safely proceed with their research careers.

The Dutch section is an expansion of existing services of the UAF

The UAF already offers individual guidance and financial support to fugitive scientists. With this Dutch network section, they expand their services and grow to a national network which supports scholars at risk.

Researchers anywhere in the world can request this status of a ‘Scholar at Risk’ in New York. When the status is granted, SAR New York starts looking for a suitable place. In this context, the UAF also receives applications. Whenever possible, the UAF then facilitates the connection between the university and the scholar.
