The European Commission is asking for feedback on the European Biotech Act. With this Act, they propose a series of measures to create an enabling environment to accelerate the transition of biotech products from laboratory to factory and to the market, while maintaining the highest safety standards for the protection of the population and the environment.
Focus on five key areas
With the Act, the Commission focuses on five key areas:
- Faster approval procedures
- Better access to venture capital
- Closer cooperation between European biotech cluster
- A greater supply of skilled personnel
- Smarter use of data and artificial intelligence
Deadline: 22 July 2026
