On 7-11 September 2026, the third edition of EU TalentOn will take place in Brest, France. EU TalentOn is a European contest for young researchers aged 21 to 35. For one week, over a 100 or Europe’s brightest early-career scientist will have to challenge themselves, collaborate and work in multidisciplinary teams. They will brainstorm and come up with innovative scientific solutions for major global issues of today and tomorrow.
Five mission arenas
Participants will compete in teams to develop groundbreaking solutions aligned with the five EU missions, reflecting the continent’s most urgent priorities:
- Adaptation to climate change
- Cancer prevention and care
- Restore our ocean and water
- Climate-neutral and smart cities
- A soil deal for Europe
€ 80.000 prize pool
Each multidisciplinary team can win a share of the € 80.000. The best teams will be awarded. Each mission area will have first and second place winners, there is a special jury price and the best project in all mission arenas will be awarded with a € 12.000 Grand Jury Prize.
