As part of the ‘Choose Europe for Science’ initiative, EURAXESS published a list of national and regional funding initiatives. The Tulip Fund is one of the Dutch funding initiatives that is on this list. It offers international top researchers and top talent with their own line of research the opportunity to continue their research in the Netherlands.
Goals of the Tulip Fund
The threats to academic freedom are growing. The Tulip Fund enables research organisations in the Netherlands to recruit top researchers and top talent. It will strengthen both academic freedom, as well as the Netherlands’ position at the forefront of international scientific research.
Who can apply?
Research organisations in the Netherlands and the Netherlands Association of Universities of Applied Sciences may nominate candidates for a position with funding. The rules for different types of organisations and the corresponding funds can be found on the Call page for the Tulip Fund.
The deadline for submitting a nomination is provisionally set at the 31st of March 2026, 14.00 CEST.
