• ERC Advanced Investigator Grant
The Advanced Grants aims to encourage and support excellent, innovative and research projects which are initiated and led by established top research leaders
This funding scheme, which offers grants of up to 500,000 Euro per year for a period of up to five years, targets researchers who have already established themselves as being scientifically independent and world-class leaders in their own right.

• NWO – Neth. Organisation for Scientific Research
NWO promotes scientific research at Dutch universities and institutes through nearly 170 different research programmes and grants.
Researchers can apply for subsidies within research programmes as defined by NWO or as part of an Open Competition (research object is put forward by the researcher). Personal grants (like the well-known Vernieuwingsimpuls) stimulate individual researchers. Other subsidies facilitate (international) cooperation, finance the use of large-scale facilities and enable investments or publications.

• KNAW- Royal Netherlands Academy of Sciences
Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences:
Awards grants for research, conference visits or periods of residence abroad;
Contributes to the cost of organising international conferences, workshops and colloquia in the Netherlands;
Promotes international communication and partnerships.
